Since the introduction of the stamp holiday in July, the houses that have been sold in London “super suburbs” have doubled as in the rest of the capital.

 

Covid-19 has brought so many changes in the lives of many Londoners. With the anxieties experience due to this pandemic, buyers are being driven in search of a home with a garden, spacious area, near good schools, and plenty of parklands.

 

In the last 12 months, Hampton’s International report revealed the rise of the suburbs. Balham, one of the “super suburbs” in south west London, saw an increase of 7.4% in home sales this year, as Londoners are switching to areas to find more indoor and outdoor space. Other “super suburbs” like Banstead has a growth of 7.1%, Kingston with a growth of 6.9%, Kew with 6.2%, and Twickenham with a growth of 5.8%

 

Balham

Balham was voted to be the best place to live in 2013 and 2014. It is 5 miles away from the city with excellent connections and a family-friendly vibe.

It has great schools, a plethora of green spaces, and has a great outdoor space for leisure.

In terms of primary schools, there are a lot of brilliant schools in Balham. For secondary schools, Chestnut Grove School is a coeducational school in Balham that has a good or outstanding Ofsted report.
