New Year's resolutions are a time-honored tradition, and with the new year comes a fresh start. Here are some resolutions that landlords can make in order to improve their rental property management strategies in 2023.

The first resolution for landlords is to focus on the details. Landlords often overlook many of the small things that can add up to big problems in their rental properties over time. Things like leaks, broken appliances, and poor insulation will all have an effect on your property's value and how much money you end up spending on repairs. These issues might seem minor now, but they'll cost you later if left unattended. Make sure to keep an eye out for these problems as soon as they come up and address them immediately!

It then uses this data to determine whether an intruder has entered your home or if there's been an electrical fire, which means you'll get the call earlier than ever before.


Resolution 5: Set Realistic Goals

The most important thing to remember when setting goals is that they should be realistic. If you set yourself up for failure, you'll get discouraged and give up, which is the opposite of what you want! To avoid insurmountable and unrealistic goals, decide to set a few manageable benchmarks for your resolutions, rather than unreachable aspirations as a landlord. For example, if you're looking for ways to improve your rental property's curb appeal, try starting with small changes like painting the exterior or adding flowers to the front garden. Once you've mastered those small tasks, you can move on to bigger ones like planting trees or installing new fencing.
