Lifestyle

We spent most of our lives at home. It is a place where we sleep, eat, relax, meet friends, work, and spend time with families. And we want our home to be safe and comfortable in every aspect. There are several things that attribute to a safe and healthy home.

Most people think that regular cleaning is all they need to do to maintain a healthy home. But it is only half of the story. There are many more aspects that you have to be aware of.

Cleanliness
This aspect is pretty obvious. You can’t speak of a healthy home in a dirty house. So, keeping your house clean and organized should be an essential part of your daily routine. The organization is important, especially for mental health.
Research shows that people living in a poorly organized home often suffer from anxiety, stress, and frustrations. In some ways, the clutter and mess are linked to emotions such as irritability, tension, and confusion. On the other hand, organized homes tend to create emotions such as calmness.
Cleanliness has a positive impact on your well-being.

Dry Home
It is important to keep your house dry because excess moisture creates a good condition for spreading mold, which destroys not only your home but your health. Mold can lead to eye, nose, and lung irritation. Moreover, if you mold spores can cause strong allergic reactions like an asthma attack and other respiratory problems.
Wet surfaces are perfect for bacteria and viruses.

Pest-Free Home
Cockroaches, dust mites, bed bugs, and other home insects can spread dangerous diseases. For example, roaches leave their droppings and urine everywhere. You can catch asthma, Salmonella, and E. coli with roaches.
This is why proper pest control is important for creating a safe and healthy home.

Proper Ventilation
According to research, indoor air in some modern houses can become harmful than outdoor air. Excess CO2, hair particles, skin particles, viruses, and dust can create a mixture that can be inappropriate for breathing.
Property ventilation keeps indoor air fresh and healthy.

Toxin-Free Home
Toxins are everywhere. There are harmful chemicals that can be found in air, water, food, carpet, furniture, etc. Even the products to make our clothes clean can leave harmful chemicals.
You can cut the toxins by not overusing products. Instead of using plastic that is made of PVC or BPA, use it less often or not at all.
Cutting down the use of products with harmful chemicals is a way for a less toxic home.
